The vision of WE was born in the heart of Prince of Peace parishioner, Kerry McGuire, who has discerned and prayed over this vision for many months, finally turning to her family, friends, and Sisters in Christ from her Arise group and book clubs for assistance in WE's official launch, Dec. 2015. Now WE is officially under the Ministry of New Evangelization at Prince of Peace, headed up by Sefanit Stefanos.
The concept is a little different than what you may be used to. WE don't have a set monthly meeting. WE don't have a big list of activities and events of our own. While WE do have book clubs, fitness classes, and opportunities for prayer, which you can find listed on this web site, WE also strive to keep you informed about the wonderful women's groups and parish events already taking place at Prince of Peace, nearby parishes, and around the Archdiocese. Why recreate the wheel? There are so many rich opportunities for sacramental worship, faith sharing, bible study, service, fellowship, and fun, WE want you to know about them. WE are the bridge to help you make that connection for yourself, as well as those opportunities available for your family and friends.
Our focus is simply to make a more personal connection with you and our Sisters in Christ as we build up the Body of Christ together in beautiful ways. Why go it alone when you have your community right here with you? And be on the lookout for more resources and ideas coming your way that you can bring back to your own parishes and communities!
WE are excited that over the past close to four years, this ministry remains fluid and directed by the Holy Spirit. Who knows what is next…God! Please check out this web site and if you have any questions, please e-mail me personally at CatholicWE@gmail.com or check out our Facebook page. Looking forward to taking this journey together. WE are praying for you!
